Management policy
Investment Objective
The Fund seeks long-term total returns. The Fund will be actively managed, seeking to outperform the MSCI World Health Care Index (the "Index") investing primarily in the equity securities of health care companies worldwide. The market capitalisation floor for the Fund will typically be in the range of USD 1 billion to USD1.5 billion but may fluctuate outside this range as market conditions shift over time. The Fund will invest across health care subsectors and may hold concentrated positions across sub-sectors but will be well diversified by issuer. The Fund will invest in shares and other securities with equity characteristics such as preferred stocks, convertible securities or depository receipts. The Fund may invest either directly or via derivatives. Up to 20% of the net assets of the Fund may be invested in Emerging Markets. Derivatives may be used to hedge (manage) risk, for investment purposes (such as gaining exposure to a security) and for managing the Fund more efficiently. In line with the Fund's thematic investment approach, the Fund will seek to promote social characteristics by maintaining a portfolio which has a research and development expense to sales ratio that is at least two times greater than the Index. During normal market conditions, a minimum of 51% of the Fund's net assets will be aligned to the social characteristics of the Fund. The Index serves as a reference benchmark for performance comparison purposes. Whilst Fund securities may be components of the Index, the Index is not considered during portfolio construction and the investment manager of the Fund (the "Investment Manager") will not manage the extent to which Fund securities differ from the Index. Dealing frequency Shares can be bought or sold daily in accordance with the prospectus of the Umbrella Fund (the "Prospectus"). |
