Investment Objective
The Fund seeks to grow capital and generate income by investing primarily in investment grade bonds with a minimum rating of BBB- (S&P or Fitch) or Baa3 (Moody's). The Fund can invest in interest rate and credit derivatives. The Fund is actively managed and invests mainly in USD denominated securities. The Fund may invest up to 15% of its net assets in non-rated products/issuers. A minimum of 50% of the bond investments will be in issuers deemed to maintain sustainable characteristics with a minimum Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rating of BBB for developed market issuers and BB for emerging market issuers as measured by MSCI ESG research or if such rating is not available an equivalent internal rating assigned by the Investment Manager. ESG investment strategy is based on three pillars: (i) Sector exclusion according to the UBP Responsible Investment policy; (ii) ESG integration to select issuers through the analysis of environmental, social and governance factors; (iii) a preference for Green, Social and Sustainability bonds. The Fund uses to the SOFR Overnight Rate (the 'Benchmark') for performance comparison. The Benchmark is not representative of the risk profile of the Fund and the performance of the Fund is likely to be significantly different from that ot the Benchmark because the Investment Manager has significant discretion to deviate from its securities and weighting. The Fund may invest its net assets up to: 20% in High yield 10% in Emerging countries. The average maturity of the bond portfolio excluding cash can be expected to range between 1 and 2.5 years but will not exceed 3 years at any time. As such, this Fund cannot be considered as a money market fund. The Fund's investments are expected to carry on average a higher risk than a typical money market investment, in particular in terms of credit risk (maturity profile, ratings profile, average spread duration) and due to the before mentioned use of derivative instruments.
