Investment Objective
The sub-fund aims to achieve net positive performance over the recommended investment horizon of three years. The sub-fund has no reference indicator. The Sub-Fund pursues a long/short strategy focused on fundamentals and aimed at creating a portfolio of long and short positions in financial instruments eligible for the fund's net assets. At least 51% of the fund's net assets is invested in shares. Up to 25% of the Sub-Fund's net assets may be invested in shares of issuers located outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland. The fund may take short positions on underlying assets eligible for the fund to pursue relative value strategies aimed at taking advantage of the relative value between different instruments. The resultant net equity exposure may vary from -20% to +50% of the fund's net assets. Up to 49% of the Sub-Fund's net assets may be invested in money market instruments, negotiable debt securities, and fixed or floating rate, secured (including covered) bonds, which may be linked to inflation in the Eurozone or international markets including emerging markets. Up to 25% of the Fund's net assets are exposed to currency risk through the purchase of securities denominated in currencies other than those of the European Economic Area. The derivatives liable to be used by the portfolio manager include options (vanilla, barrier, binary), futures, forwards, forward exchange contracts, swaps (including performance swaps), and CFDs (contracts for difference), involving one or more risks/underlying instruments in which the portfolio manager may invest. The amounts invested in securities with embedded derivatives, excluding contingent convertible and callable/puttable bonds, may not exceed 10% of the net assets. The portfolio manager may invest up to 10% of the net assets in contingent convertible bonds ("CoCos"). |
