Investment Objective
The Fund seeks long term capital appreciation with a secondary objective of principal preservation primarily through taking long and synthetic short positions in equity and equity-linked securities listed or traded in US equity markets. There can be no guarantee that the Fund will ultimately achieve its investment objective and capital invested is at risk. The Fund may also, but to a lesser extent take long and synthetic short positions in equity, equity-linked securities and Exchange Traded Funds ('ETFs') on Recognised Markets, located in the countries comprising the MSCI ACWI (All Country World Index). The Fund will seek to invest in companies across all industrial sectors with a market capitalisation of at least USD250 million. The net market exposure (sum of long and synthetic short positions) of the Fund will typically be positive. Investment selection is the result of research and analysis in an effort to identify companies that have the potential to increase in value, are financially stable and have a strong competitive position within their industry. The Fund may not invest greater than 20% of its Net Asset Value ('NAV') in emerging market (less developed) countries. The Fund may also, but generally to a lesser extent, take long positions in fixed income securities of US and non-US US companies, including below investment grade securities. The maximum proportion of the Fund's NAV that can be subject to total return swaps is 90%. The expected proportion of the Fund's NAV that will be subject to total return swaps is 45%. The Fund promotes environmental and social characteristics pursuant to Article 8 of SFDR. |
