Investment Objective
The Sub-Fund mainly invests its assets in shares, fixed or floating rate income securities and Money Market Instruments (financial instruments issued by financial institutions or governments considered to be extremely low-risk). The Sub-Fund's strategy is to invest at least two third of all its net assets in debt securities and shares issued by issuers or companies located in an Asiatic Country (Far East and Middle East). However, the Investments in shares must represent at least 51% of total Fund's net asset value. Furthermore, the Fund's investments in fixed or floating rate income securities and Money Market Instrument can never exceed 49% of all its net-assets. The Sub-Fund may invest in a wide range of securities. The Investment Manager is free to manage the exposure to relevant exchange rates and may decide to hedge (an investment position intended to offset potential losses) or not to hedge exchange risks. To achieve its investment goals, for treasury purposes and/or in case of unfavourable market conditions, the Sub-Fund may invest in money market instruments and deposits, on an ancillary basis. The Sub-Fund is actively managed and references the Bloomberg APAC Large & Mid Cap Net Return Index (the "Benchmark") for performance comparison, and performance fee calculation purposes only. The target of the Sub-Fund is to outperform the Benchmark. Shareholders' attention is drawn to the fact that the Benchmark is not an index which integrates environmental and social considerations. The subscription, redemption shall be received at the latest two business days preceding the valuation day of the Fund. Such requests can be made daily. The Sub-Fund may use Financial Derivative Instruments (instruments whose prices are dependent on one or more underlying assets 'FDIs', including exchange-traded futures and options, and FX forwards). The Sub-Fund invests in FDIs in order to reduce the possibility of financial losses or to achieve higher gains. The Investment Manager m |
