Investment Objective
The Sub-Fund is actively managed. The MSCI World TR ND index is used for performance comparison as well as internal risk monitoring purposes, without implying any particular constraints to the Sub-Fund?s investments. Securities targeted by the Sub-Fund can be similar to those of the index to an extent that varies over time but their weighting is expected to differ materially. The performance of the Sub-Fund may deviate materially from that of the index. The Sub-Fund invests primarily in equity and equity-related securities issued by companies worldwide, including Emerging Markets) whose business models will benefit from the changes in economic systems transforming towards improved outcomes, addressing social and environmental challenges in the current economy and enabled by innovation and the digitalisation of the economy. The Sub-Fund uses a Systems Change Approach to Transition Investing. Systems changes in scope for the Sub-Fund include, but are not limited to, (a) demand and supply-side shifts linked to the emergence of a lower-carbon, energy-efficient and electrified energy system; (b) moves to more efficient and resilient industrial, food and consumer systems; (c) transformation of health, financial and broader social systems to deliver higher-quality services; and (d) the build-out of the digital ecosystems supporting these changes. Under normal market conditions, the Investment Manager generally expects the portfolio to be diversified with investments in 100-150 companies. As part of its Emerging Market exposure, the Sub-Fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in shares issued by mainland China-incorporated companies (including China A-Shares). The Investment Manager is authorized to use financial derivative instruments for hedging purposes or for EPM but not as part of the investment strategy. |
