Investment Objective
The Sub-Fund is actively managed. The Bloomberg Global High Yield Corporate TR Index is used for performance comparison as well as internal risk monitoring purposes, without implying any particular constraints to the Sub-Fund?s investments. Securities targeted by the Sub-Fund can be similar to those of the index to an extent that varies over time but their weighting is expected to differ materially. The performance of the Sub-Fund may deviate materially from that of the index. The Sub-Fund implements a global high yield bond strategy by investing its assets in financial derivative instruments (in particular, but not limited to high yield CDS indices), as well as in high quality bonds, other fixed or floating-rate debt securities and short-term debt instruments issued or guaranteed by sovereign entities participating in the OECD and/or by supranational institutions or agencies (including Supranational, Sovereigns and Agencies - SSAs), and/or corporate entities worldwide (including Emerging Markets), as well as in financial derivative instruments (in particular, but not limited to CDS, CDS indices and Total Return Swaps). The instruments described above may be denominated in any OECD currencies. The investment manager will pay a particular attention to the liquidity of the selected instruments and the portfolio as a whole at all times. The Sub-Fund typically maintains a net exposure to high-yield CDS indices of between 75% and 125%. Total Return Swaps may be used to hedge against extreme shocks in the markets (tail risk hedging).
