OBJECTIVE: To increase the value of your investment, while seeking capital preservation.PORTFOLIO ASSETS: The Compartment mainly invests in a broad range of corporate financial and government bonds, including securities and loans from issuers who have failed to make scheduled payments or are in, or near, bankruptcy (distressed and defaulted securities). The Compartment mainly invests in Europe, and can invest across any sector, credit quality and currency.DERIVATIVES AND STRUCTURED PRODUCTS: The Compartment may use derivatives to reduce various risks (hedging) and for efficient portfolio management, and may use structured products to gain exposure to portfolio assets.COMPARTMENT CURRENCY: EURINVESTMENT PROCESS: In actively managing the Compartment, the investment manager uses issuer and credit analysis to identify securities it believes may benefit or be hurt by potential turnaround situations and takes long positions in the former and short positions in the latter. The investment manager may invest in issuers with any environmental, social, and governance (ESG) profile. It methodically exercises voting rights and may engage with issuers in order to positively influence ESG practices.
