Investment Objective
The objective is to obtain an increase in the value of long-term investments while controlling their volatility by building a global growth portfolio. The Sub-Fund will mainly invest through targeted UCITS in equity and bonds markets and may invest in shares and other assimilated transferable securities (global depositary receipt, American depositary receipt, dividend right certificate, etc.). Investments can be made globally, including in emerging markets. Over 3 year periods, it is expected to have an average exposure to the world equity markets of around 75%. Investments in fixed income securities (issued by corporate entities or governments) will, in general, not exceed the limit of 50% of its net assets ('NA'). Up to 20% of its NA can be invested in non investment grade bonds. Investments will be made in both bond securities and fixed-income bond funds. The Sub-Fund may invest in structured financial instruments such as, credit linked notes, certificates, bonds or any other transferable securities whose performance is linked, amongst others, to an index that meets the requirements of Article 9 of the Grand Ducal Regulation dated February 8, 2008 (including indices on raw materials, precious metals and volatility), currencies, interest rates, transferable securities, a basket of transferable securities that is sufficiently diversified or a UCI. Derivatives may be used to a limited extent if there are significant subscriptions or for hedging purposes. In such cases, the Sub-Fund may use derivatives with a commitment exposure of approximately 20% and in any case no more than 100%. For hedging, investment and gaining exposure purposes, it may use any type of derivative financial instruments traded on a regulated market and / or traded over-the-counter including credit default swap. The Sub-Fund is actively managed with no reference to a benchmark. The recommended holding period is 5 years. |
