Investment Objective
The Fund promotes, among other characteristics, environmental and social characteristics, provided that the target investments' issuers follow good governance practices and qualifies under Article 8(1) of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on sustainability-related disclosure requirements in the financial services sector. The Fund seeks to achieve a total return over the medium to long term by investing mainly in fixed income securities issued by banks and other financial institutions worldwide. Binding Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") criteria complements traditional financial analysis through the use of exclusions policies and ESG scoring assessment. The ESG investment process aims at excluding the target issuers potentially exposed to ESG controversies and/or involved in specific sectors and, through an ESG screening, prevents investments in issuers identified at the bottom 15% of distribution of the relevant sector's ESG score. At any time a minimum of 20% of the Fund's net assets will be invested in securities with rating at least investment grade. The Fund may also invest in Money Market instruments, deposits, government bonds and financial derivative instruments worldwide. Depending on market conditions, the Fund's holdings invested in ancillary liquid assets can reach a maximum of 20% of its net assets. The Fund will not invest in asset backed securities ("ABS"), mortgage backed securities ("MBS") and collateralized loan obligations ("CLOs"). The Fund may invest up to 35% of its net assets in contingent convertible bonds ("CoCos"). Investments in distressed or default debt securities are not authorised. The Fund may also invest up to 10% of its net assets in equity linked securities such as debt securities convertible into common shares, preference shares and warrants on transferable securities. The Fund may also invest up to 10% of its net assets in target funds including Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The Fund may use financial derivatives to protect its |
