Investment Objective
The Sub-Fund aims to preserve the capital initially invested and to provide capital appreciation through investments in Fixed Income securities and OTC derivatives. The Sub-Fund is actively managed and does not reference a benchmark. During the Main Investment Period, which will commence on 13 December 2024 and continue until 30 December 2030, the Sub-Fund will invest directly or indirectly in Fixed Income securities and in OTC derivatives. Exposure to Fixed Income securities will be achieved as follows: (i) up to 100% of the Sub-Fund's net assets will be invested in European sovereign issuers (including up to 100% in Italian government bonds); (ii) up to 70% of the Sub-Fund's net assets may be exposed to bonds of Italian companies and (iii) up to 180% of the Sub-Fund's net assets may be exposed to global corporate issuers (excluding Emerging Markets issuers), selected by the Investment Manager, J.P. Morgan Mansart Management Limited, considering the advice from the Investment Advisor, JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited. The Sub-Fund will be exposed to high yield securities and may have up to 10% of its net assets exposed to distressed and defaulted securities as a result of their potential downgrade in rating. The Sub-Fund may invest indirectly in fixed income securities via Total Return Swaps through which the Sub-Fund will take a short position on a basket of credit default swaps and receive a premium. The Sub-Fund may utilize Total Return Swaps and/or interest rate swaps to hedge portfolio risks. The Sub-Fund may use OTC call options to provide a return linked to the upside performance of a long exposure to a basket of funds and ETFs. Following the end of the Main Investment Period the Sub-Fund may invest directly or indirectly in up to 100% of its net assets in Money Market Instruments or Money Market Funds.The return of the fund depends primarily on the development of capital markets.
