Investment Objective
INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE: The aim is for your investment to reflect the performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 500 Equal Weight Scored & Screened Index (index) which is designed to reflect the equal weighted performance of the shares of large capitalisation companies representing all major US industries and which meet certain environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria. DESCRIPTION OF INDEX: The index is based on the S&P 500 Equal Weight Index (Parent Index) which is an equal weighted index reflecting the performance of large-cap common stocks of publicly held companies actively traded on regulated US Equities exchanges. The index seeks to target 60% of the number of constituents of each Global Industry Classification Standard Industry Group (GICS Industry Group) within the Parent Index, using an S&P Global ESG Score (ESG Score) after applying the exclusion criteria. ESG CRITERIA: The index excludes companies from the Parent Index which do not fulfil specific ESG criteria, as disclosed in the prospectus and/or supplement. For each GICS Industry Group, the remaining companies are then selected in decreasing order of ESG Scores using a methodology to get as close as possible to the target of 60% of the number of constituents of each GICS Industry Group within the parent index. INDEX REBALANCING, CALCULATION AND ADMINISTRATION: The index is calculated on a total return net basis which means that all dividends and distributions by the companies are reinvested in the shares after tax. The index is reviewed and rebalanced on an annual basis and reweighted on a quarterly basis. The index is administered by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC. INVESTMENT POLICY: To achieve the aim, the fund will attempt to replicate the index, before fees and expenses, by buying all or a substantial number of the securities in the index. The fund may employ techniques and instruments in order to manage risk, reduce costs and improve results. These techniques and instruments may include |
