Investment Objective
The Sub-Fund is passively managed. The objective of the Sub-Fund is to track the performance of the S&P World Industrials Weighted & Screened Index (the 'Index'). The anticipated level of the tracking error, under normal market conditions, is indicated in the prospectus of the Sub-Fund. The Sub-Fund promotes environmental and/or social characteristics through among others, replicating an Index integrating an environmental, social and governance ('ESG') rating. The Index is an equity index that measures the performance of eligible equity securities from the S&P Developed Ex-Korea LargeMidCap Industrials index (the 'Parent Index'). The Parent Index is designed to measure the performance of large and mid-cap industrials companies in developed markets excluding Korea which make up approximately 85% of the total available capital. Industrials companies are identi?ed by reference to the GICS. The industrials sector includes manufacturers and distributors of capital goods such as aerospace and defense, building products, electrical equipment and machinery and companies that o?er construction and engineering services. It also includes providers of commercial and professional services including printing, environmental and facilities services, o?ce services and supplies, security and alarm services, human resource and employment services, research and consulting services. It also includes companies that provide transportation services. The Index is selected and weighted to enhance ESG profiles, and reduce carbon emission intensity, all compared to the Parent Index. The Index applies several ESG filters (e.g. exclusions filters to exclude companies involved in controversial business activities (e.g. controversial weapon), or involved in ESG controversies) and optimization constraints (GHG intensity reduction and identical S&P Global ESG Score or improvement of such score compared to the Parent Index).
