Investment Objective
The Product's investment objective is to replicate, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the J.P. Morgan GBI-EM Global Core Index (the "Index"). The Product will seek to achieve its objective by investing in a diversified portfolio of bonds issued by emerging market governments that, as far possible and practicable, consist of the component securities that comprise the Index. The Product does not purchase all of the securities in the Index. Instead, the Investment Manager utilizes a "sampling" methodology in seeking to achieve the Product 's objective. As such, the Product may purchase a subset of the bonds in the Index in an effort to hold a portfolio of bonds with generally the same risk and return characteristics of the Index. The Product may concentrate its investments in a particular industry or group of industries to the extent that the Index concentrates in an industry or group of industries. The Product may invest in ancillary liquid assets and money market instruments which may include bank deposits, certificates of deposit, fixed or floating rate instruments, commercial paper, floating rate notes and freely transferable promissory notes. The Product may also invest in financial derivative instruments (FDIs) for efficient portfolio management or hedging purposes. The Product may use futures, swaps and currency forwards for the purpose of reducing risk associated with currency exposures within the Product. This may on occasions lead to an increase in risk profile of the Product or result in a fluctuation in the expected level of volatility. The investment in FDIs is subject to the conditions and limits contained in the Central Bank UCITS Regulations issued by the Central Bank of Ireland. The Product invests in the underlying (physica |
