Investment Objective
The Fund aims to achieve a total return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund's assets, which reflects the return of the MSCI ACWI IMI Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment ESG Screened Select Capped Index (the Index). The Fund, is passively managed and aims to invest in the equity securities (e.g. shares) that make up the Index. The Index measures the performance of large, mid and small capitalisation companies across developed and emerging markets, which meet MSCI's size, liquidity and free-float criteria. Further details regarding the Index (including the methodology and its constituents) are available on the index provider's website at https://www.msci.com/constituents. The Index aims to reflect the performance of securities comprising the MSCI ACWI Investable Market Index (IMI) (Parent Index) that are classified under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) semiconductors and semiconductor equipment group. The Index excludes companies from the Parent Index based on their involvement in the following business lines/activities (or related activities): controversial and nuclear weapons; tobacco; civilian firearms; thermal coal;; oil sand or conventional weapons. The Index also excludes companies based on their ESG controversies ratings and that are classified as violating the United Nations Global Compact principles, as determined by the index provider. The Fund may obtain indirect exposure (through but not limited to financial derivative instruments ("FDIs") (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets) and units in collective investment schemes) to securities considered not to satisfy these ESG criteria. The Fund intends to replicate the Index by holding all of the securities comprising the Index in a similar proportion to their weightings in the Index.
