Investment Objective
The Share Class is a share class of the Fund which aims to achieve a total return on your investment, through a combination of capital and income returns, which reflects the return of the S&P Developed BMI Select Aerospace & Defense Capped Index, the Fund's benchmark index ("Index"). The Share Class, via the Fund, is passively managed and aims to invest in the equity securities (e.g. shares) that, so far as possible and practicable, make up the Index. The Index is a free-float adjusted market capitalisation weighted index that comprises of developed market equity securities of companies included in the S&P Global Broad Market Index which are within the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) industry of Aerospace and Defense which includes manufacturers of civil or military aerospace and defence equipment, parts or products, defence electronics and space equipment. Securities are also capped, as set out in the Fund's prospectus. Companies included in the Index must (i) have a 6-month medium daily traded volume (MDTV) greater than $3 million (USD) ($2 million (USD) for existing constituents); (ii) have a minimum float-adjusted market capitalisation of at least $100 million (USD); and (iii) have a minimum total market capitalisation of at least $300 million (USD). The Fund intends to replicate the Index by holding the equity securities, which make up the Index, in similar proportions to it. The investment manager may use financial derivative instruments (FDIs) for direct investment purposes to help achieve the Fund's investment objectives. The Fund may also engage in short-term secured lending of its investments to certain eligible third parties to generate additional income to off-set the costs of the Fund. The price of equity securities fluctuates daily and may be influenced by factors affecting the performance of the individual companies issuing the equities, as well as by daily stock market movements, and broader economic and political developme
