iShares Metaverse UCITS ETF USD (Acc)

The Fund aims to achieve a return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund's assets, which reflects the return of the STOXX Global Metaverse Index (the Index). The Fund, is passively managed and aims to invest in the equity securities (e.g. shares) that, so far as possible and practicable, make up the Index. The Index seeks to exclude companies based in the index provider's environmental, social and governance (ESG) exclusionary criteria. Issuers may be excluded if they are involved in controversial weapons, weapons (such as small arms and military contracting), tobacco, nuclear power, thermal coal, conventional oil and gas, unconventional oil and gas. Companies classified as violating commonly accepted international norms and standards, or involved in severe ESG controversies, are also excluded. The Index aims to reflect the performance of a subset of equity securities of eligible developed and emerging market companies within the STOXX Global Total Market Index (Parent Index) which invest in the development of certain metaverse related technologies. Metaverse is an emerging concept that seeks to simulates the real world or imagines a world beyond it, integrating digital and physical interactions for an immersive experience. The index provider uses data generated from independent research providers to identify issuers which have exposure to the following metaverse technology themes (which may change over time): virtual reality, 3D image modelling, avatar, graphics processing unit, blockchain and non-fungible tokens ("Metaverse Technology Themes"). Only those issuers which are determined by the index provider to have either (i) sufficient patent specialization or (ii) hold high quality patents are eligible for inclusion in the Index.
