Investment Objective
The Share Class is a share class of a Fund which aims to achieve a return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund's assets, which reflects the return of the MSCI USA Momentum Index, the Fund's benchmark index (Index). The Share Class, via the Fund, is passively managed and aims to invest so far as possible and practicable in the equity securities (e.g. shares) that make up the Index. The Index aims to reflect the performance characteristics of a subset of equity securities within the MSCI USA Index (Parent Index) which are selected for their high price momentum. The constituents of the Index are selected using a momentum score, calculated based on the performance of a security, while also reflecting the corresponding volatility of the security. The momentum score aims to include equity securities that have experienced price increases over the past 6 and past 12 months which are combined to determine a momentum value with the assumption that increases will continue in the future. As part of MSCI's index methodology, equity securities within the Parent Index which may demonstrate lower price increases or have large fluctuations in price (volatility) may not form part of the Index. The Parent Index measures the performance of large and mid-capitalisation companies in the USA. Companies are included in the Parent Index based on the proportion of their shares in issue that are available for purchase by international investors. The Fund intends to replicate the Index by holding the equity securities, which make up the Index, in similar proportions to it. The investment manager may use financial derivative instruments (FDIs) (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets) to help achieve the Fund's investment objectives. FDIs (including FX contracts) may be used for direct investment purposes. The Fund may also engage in short-term secured lending of its investments to certain eligible third parti
