Investment Objective
The Share Class is a share class of a Fund which aims to achieve a return on your investment, through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund's assets, which reflects the return of the S&P 500 Capped 35/20 Health Care Index, the Fund's benchmark index ("Index"). The Share Class, via the Fund is passively managed and invests in equity securities (e.g. shares) that, so far as possible and practicable, make up the Index. The Index measures the performance of stocks from S&P 500 Index which are within the Global Industry Classification Standard ("GICS") health care sector. S&P 500 measures the performance of 500 stocks from top US companies in leading industries of the US economy which meet S&P's size, liquidity and free-float criteria. The GICS health care sector currently encompasses two main industry groups. The first includes companies who manufacture health care equipment and supplies or provide health care related services, including distributors of health care products, providers of basic health-care services, and owners and operators of health care facilities and organisations. The second group includes companies primarily involved in the research, development, production and marketing of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products. For further details please refer to the prospectus. The Index rebalances on a quarterly basis. The Index constituents are capped in accordance with the index provider's methodology to help ensure Index diversification. The Fund intends to replicate the Index by holding the equity securities, which make up the Index, in similar proportions to it. The Fund may also engage in short-term secured lending of its investments to certain eligible third parties to generate additional income to off-set the costs of the Fund. The investment manager may use financial derivative instruments ("FDIs") (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets) to help achieve the Fund's investment |
