Investment Objective
The Fund aims to achieve a return on your investment through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund's assets, which reflects the return of the Bloomberg Global Government AAA-AA Capped Bond Index (Index). The Fund is passively managed and aims to invest in the fixed income (FI) securities (such as bonds) that make up the Index and comply with its credit rating requirements. If the credit ratings of the FI securities are downgraded, the Fund may continue to hold them until they cease to form part of the Index and it is practicable to sell the position. The Index measures the performance of local currency bonds issued by governments of developed countries worldwide. The bonds will have a minimum average credit rating of Aa3 by Moody's, AA- by S&P and/or AA- by Fitch, the leading credit rating agencies. Such a credit rating is considered to be a high credit rating (which indicates that a particular government has a relatively high level of creditworthiness). The bonds will pay income according to a fixed rate of interest. The maximum market value weight in the Index for a country with government debt rated AAA (or its equivalent) is capped at 20% of the Index, while a country with government debt rated AA (or its equivalent) is capped at 10%. Any market value weight in excess of the relevant cap is redistributed pro rata among the government debt issues of the remaining countries in the Index, subject to the above caps. The Fund uses optimising techniques to achieve a similar return to its Index. These may include the strategic selection of certain securities that make up the Index or other FI securities, including government bonds, which provide similar performance to certain constituent securities. These may also include the use of financial derivative instruments (FDIs) (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets). FDIs may be used for direct investment purposes. The Fund may also engage in short-term secured
