Investment Objective
The Fund is an index-tracking UCITS passively managed. The investment objective of the Fund is to track both the upward and the downward evolution of the S&P Eurozone LargeMidCap PAB ESG Index (EUR) NTR (the 'Benchmark Index') denominated in Euro, while minimizing the volatility of the difference between the return of the Fund and the return of the Benchmark Index (the 'Tracking Error'). The anticipated level of Tracking Error in normal market conditions is indicated in the prospectus. The Benchmark Index is representative of the performance of eligible equity securities from the S&P Eurozone LargeMidCap Index (the 'Parent Index') selected and weighted to be collectively compatible with a 1.5C global warming scenario. The weighting strategy aims to minimize through optimization the difference in constituent weights to the Parent Index while simultaneously delivering a broad range of climate objectives covering transition risk (for instance a minimum self-decarbonization rate of greenhouse gas emissions intensity equating to at least 7% on average per annum), climate change opportunities (through substantially higher green-to-brown revenue share) and physical risk (through a reduced exposure to physical risks from climate change using Trucost's Physical Risk dataset as defined in the methodology of the Benchmark Index). The Benchmark Index aims to meet and maintain the criteria set out by the European Union's Technical Expert Group on Climate Benchmark's ESG Disclosures, to qualify as an EU Paris-Aligned Benchmark ('EU PAB'). For further information on the exclusions applied by the Benchmark Index pursuant to the EU Paris-aligned Benchmarks, please refer to the 'Guidelines on funds' names using ESG or sustainability-related terms' section of the Prospectus. The Fund follows an extra-financial approach significantly engaging that permits the reduction of overall greenhouse gas emissions intensity compared to the Parent Index by at least 50%.
